§ 107-8. Building official vested with power and authority to act if there is no historic preservation commission.

  • If appointments have not been made to the historic preservation commission by the mayor and approved by the city commission or if the historic preservation commission does not have a quorum or if, for any reason whatsoever, the historic preservation commission cannot meet to review proposed changes to historic property and then issue a certificate of appropriateness, if warranted and as required by section 107-5, the building official shall be vested with all the powers and authority of the historic preservation commission as are authorized and mandated by this chapter.
