For the purpose of establishing uniform rules and regulations, the city commission
hereby adopts that certain code known as the "The Uniform Act for the Application
of Building and Fire Related Codes to Existing Buildings" and the same is hereby adopted
and incorporated as fully as if set forth at length herein and from the date on which
the ordinance from which this article is derived shall take effect, the provisions
thereof shall be controlling with respect to activities related to accessibility for
buildings and facilities as set forth in said code (O.C.G.A. § 8-2-200 et seq.) within
and relating to the public safety, health and general welfare within the corporate
limits of the city.
